PreNAN FM 85 Nestlè Fortifying Breast Milk

NESTLÉ® PreNAN® Fortifying Breast Milk FM 85 is a food for special medical purposes developed for the nutritional support of preterm or low weight births fed with breast milk.

The dosages shown are indicative and can be modified, based on the doctor’s recommendations, according to the weight and age of premature / low weight births.

It is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

The standard level of fortification is 1g in 25ml of breast milk. It is recommended to gradually increase the dose, starting with 2g of NESTLÉ® PreNAN® Fortifying Breast Milk FM 85 in 100ml of breast milk. After assessing the tolerability in 24 hours, increase the fortification (up to 4g of NESTLÉ® PreNAN® Fortifying Breast Milk FM 85 in 100ml of breast milk) or follow the instructions established in the hospital. Cons-Indications: NESTLÉ® PreNAN® Fortifying Breast Milk FM 85 is not a complete food. It is not suitable for use in infants with known cow’s milk protein allergy, lactose intolerance and congenital metabolic diseases such as galactosemia / glucose-galactose malabsorption. Do not administer parenterally.

Important Notice: Breast milk is the ideal food for the infant and breastfeeding should last as long as possible. Before choosing a formulated milk it is necessary to consult the pediatrician.

Information and advice for use

Store at room temperature, in a dry place away from heat sources.

Specifically formulated for premature or low birth weight infants (> 1800g).

Close the container carefully after each use and store it in a dry place away from heat sources. Consume the product within 3 weeks of opening the package.

1) Prepare one device (bottle, syringe or enteral feeding containers) at a time and administer immediately. 2) If the breast milk is frozen, gradually thaw in the refrigerator (below 4ºC). DO NOT use the microwave oven or leave it at room temperature to thaw. 3) Shake / rotate before pouring it into the device. 4) Pour into the chosen device only the required amount of breast milk to be fortified. 5) Before adding the fortifier, warm the breast milk to body temperature. DO NOT use the microwave oven. 6) Add the required amount of Nestlé® PreNAN® Fortifying Breast Milk FM 85 to the desired amount of warm breast milk (35ºC – 40ºC), following the standard preparation (1g in 25ml of breast milk) or a specific reconstitution, if required by doctor. Use only the measuring cup included in the package. 7) Close and gently shake until the powder is completely dissolved and ADMINISTER IMMEDIATELY. 8) Never store leftover fortified milk after each meal. 9) Close the jar carefully and store it in a dry place away from heat sources. Consume the product within 3 weeks of opening the package. 10) For enteral nutrition: once fortified breast milk has been prepared, use it within 4 hours.

Partially hydrolyzed whey proteins, maltodextrins, mineral salts (calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium), triglycerides with medium chain fatty acids MCT (coconut oil, palm kernel oil ) in varying proportions, rapeseed oil, vitamins (C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, A, riboflavin, thiamine, B6, folic acid, K, D, biotin, B12), FISH oil, choline, acidity regulator ( citric acid), inositol, L-carnitine, taurine.
