CATIONORM® is such a three-phase preparation and is based on the innovative Novasorb® emulsion technology.
CATIONORM® is a cationic oil-in-water emulsion, ie it is an aqueous solution containing many small, positively charged droplets with an oily core. CATIONORM® is optimally distributed on the cornea and conjunctiva due to the electrostatic attraction between the positively charged droplets and the negatively charged surface of the eye. Immediately after instillation, it spreads evenly over the surface of the eye, providing fast and long-lasting relief from dry eye symptoms.

lipid layer: CATIONORM® supplements the lipid layer and thus contributes to the stability and reduced evaporation of the tear film.

Mucin layer: Due to the electrostatic attraction, CATIONORM® spreads quickly and evenly over the surface of the eye, reduces friction on the surface of the eye and moistens and protects the cornea and conjunctiva.
